Have a Good One
Have a Good One is the new video from Canada's jazz funk alchemists the Shuffle Demons. The tune is from the critically acclaimed 2020 album Crazy Time
Crazy Time
Crazy Time is an aptly named wild romp through the fake news and chaos that was 2020. It's the title track from our 2020 CD, one of JazzFM's top 25 of the year!

Take me back…
Spadina Bus
A great transfer of the legendary 'Spadina Bus' video by the Shuffle Demons. Dave Parker's ode to Toronto transit was directed by John Gunn and beautifully shot by Robert Fresco. The song rocketed the Shuffle Demons to Canadian 'stardom' and is an iconic Canadian tune. This celebrated bop rap ditty was written in 1984 by these busking maniacs and turned into video gold in 1986 by John Gunn and his team, receiving heavy MuchMusic rotation and helping the band sell 15,000 copies of their debut vinyl 'Streetniks.' (Available here https://theshuffledemons1.bandcamp.com/) The video offers an historical glimpse into the naive yet gritty old world avenue that was Spadina in the 1980's. Spadina traversed so many diverse neighbourhoods from Chinatown to Kensington to the hipster enclave of Queen Street West, it was truly a representation of the Toronto that embraced diversity and gained strength from this acceptance.
Out of my House, Roach
Enjoy a brand new transfer of this classic video from 1987! Join the Shuffle Demons on a wild romp through their jazz house as they try to track down a pesky critter. This video was directed by Joel Goldberg and features incredible sets designed and constructed by Kurt Swinghammer. It won a CASBY award for best indie video in 1987. A must see!!! This video is guaranteed to rid your house of cockroaches for 24 hours after viewing.
